When it rains I don't mind...
YearningNot much to say really. In fifteen days I'll be home. Now that's scary. It's...it's funny how things have changed. I'm not scared to be in China anymore, I'm afraid of going home, back to Belgrade. How can one get used to Europe after Asia? It's like I've been to a galaxy far, far away and now I'm going back to my little parish in the middle ages lol.
It's thundering outside, it's terrifying. When was I ever afraid of rain? I revel in it. It is positively traumatising here. I got caught in a thunderstorm yesterday, I was soaked to the bone and there were three inches of water in my boots (summer boots). It was...knee-deep water and wind blowing so hard the water would rise up and splash all over you sideways. Yeah. And this is North China, not Monsoon season in Vietnam. Lol, there was no way to get a taxi and no one in the street and it was 10 o'clock so I had nowhere to go really...and it's raining so hard you can't actually *seek cover* unless you go inside, because the rain just gets everywhere. So I just randomly screamed in the streets because...it was a great feeling actually, no one can hear you, it's like the great flood...it's awesome. Finally sought refuge at some friend's friends and that was cool...
Only two more weeks of work. Not even. Tomorrow's Thursday, which is technically the weekend hehe and then just one more week and then five days and I'm off. Dear me. There are so many people I want to see back home and at the same time so many more things I want to do here and spend time with people here and...life's a bitch.
